Get your sweat on and raise funds for mental health!
With more than half of us experiencing a mental health problem in our lifetimes, every dollar raised helps us to boost the wellbeing of people across Aotearoa and makes sure no one has to face tough times alone. The Rotorua Marathon starts in the Government Gardens, heads out through Rotorua CBD, around the traditional lake course and finishes at the beautiful Princes Arch. You can run or walk, whatever distance best suits you, with a full marathon, 21km or 5km fun run on offer.

Meet some of our fundraisers
We have hundreds of people every year set themselves a goal of running their first quarter-marathon, half-marathon or marathon and dedicating their race to a cause that is close to them.
“We believe that almost everyone has been affected by mental health disorders. We are inspired by the work of The Mental Health Foundation of NZ and wanted to support them by raising money as part of our participation in Dunedin Marathon 2019.”
