Look who's doing a fundraiser!
Kia ora and hello to all the awesome people out there,
you must be wondering why I'm doing this, well…
Firstly, a little bit about my struggle with depression, anxiety, and suicide:
I struggled mostly with depression and anxiety, and always struggled with asking for help as I thought I always could manage and live with it. But in reality, I couldn't I needed help from family, friends, and most importantly professionally trained people. I finally sought help and my life entirely had an entire flip for the best. I, today, feel that I'm at a point where I feel strong enough to talk about it and help others, that struggle every single day.
I'll be doing a live stream on my Twitch channel to help support the work of the Mental Health Foundation in New Zealand, as a lot of people here, unfortunately, struggle with it, and want to help others that have not yet found the strength and, or confidence to talk about the matter.
This will be a challenge for me - but every day can be a challenge for people who may not have the resources they need to maintain positive well-being and function well in their everyday lives.
Now the important stuff, the why:
Nearly 50% of New Zealanders will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime, and I don’t want them to face it on their own. Your donation will help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, also known as Aotearoa for others, to provide people, workplaces, schools, and communities with the tools they need to build positive mental health and well-being.
Our goal would be to raise $1,000 in the next week or so... But even if you can't donate just by you being on the stream would help, as any income coming from this stream will be added by me as a donation.
YOU ARE NOT ON YOUR OWN!!!
Thank you and I send all of you a virtual hug and all the love that I can give you, I love you and you are not alone in this, we are here!
Arthur, also known as Arty.
