FUN RUN training day!

Saturday 5th Jun
Today was a Fun run with coach Brucey & Bobs! Boy did they make me work!! They both gave me such good encouragement & bruceys best piece of advice was “ hey mum just pretend I am a lollypop and catch me!” 😂🍭 Getting a little nervous as the race comes closer! Need to up my game if I am going to be able to complete this thing!!

So many excuses!

Wednesday 12th May
It’s been a slow start to training this week with a teething bubba & busy family life! ( I could throw in some more excuses but you get the idea) 😉

The trickiest part is getting the time to go running before it gets dark so I’m investigating treadmills so Ted can watch me sweat while he’s having a kick around! 

Before you say it, running with the pushchair has been suggested but I feel like my coordination skills aren’t quite there!  😅 

Anyway! No excuses today as Nana came and watched Ted while I ducked out for a quick run, I do love running in the rain!  There is just something about it! 😊

3kms done today, seemed easier than I thought it would be so next time I’ll push for 4….

My New Personal Trainers

Saturday 8th May
I completed a 2km run on Thursday while Nana watched the baby! It’s an improvement on the first run but still another 19kms to go!! 😳 I’ve enlisted the help of some new personal trainers who have also been training for the school cross country! They took me for some laps around their course today, they sure know how to make me work!! I am aiming to be able to run 5kms by next week! 🤞🏻

Let’s call that a practice run!

Thursday 6th May
Day 1 of training started off great! Sun was shinning, my running shoes still fit & hubby had the kids under control! 

Off I set for my first run since having my 4th baby, I’m a good 25kgs heavier than the last time I ran (my poor knees!) so it was definitely a slower pace! 

Feeling positive it wasn’t going to bad, all 3 minutes off it! I didn’t think my pants choice through and after constantly having to pull my pants up with every stride it was a power walk home off to the shops to get some tighter pants! 

Haha! Today is another day……. Fingers crossed for a better outcome!
