Team Mental Health Foundation
Hey team! Most people probably don't know because I never really talk about it but over the past couple of years I have been battling with my mental health and been through some pretty tough times. From where I was, to where I am now makes me feel so proud and gives me motivation to keep pushing through all those bad days as I know the good are always worth it. Running for me has played a huge positive role in my progress over the past few years which is why I will be running the Rotorua half marathon to raise money for The Mental health Foundation to support those who deserve help and also support the message that it is definitely okay to ask for help no matter who you are. More than 50% of New Zealanders will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime, and I don’t want them to face it on their own.
Your donation will help the Mental Health Foundation to provide people with free information, resources and campaigns covering the A-Z of mental health and wellbeing topics. It will also help them advocate for helpful and hopeful policies and services for people living with mental illness.
My aim is to raise $200 for the Mental Health Foundation and motivate me to smash out this run, thanks heaps and every little bit counts. :)
