I'm fundraising for mental health

I've got a goal to get running again and want to add another goal of raising funds for a worthy cause at the same time. Mental Health is not just about what we think, it also has an impact on what we feel and how we act! Me tiaki i a koe anō, te taha tinana, te taha wairua, te taha hinengaro me te taha whānau! About 50% of people will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime, and can happen from childhood to adulthood. Tēnā, tākoha mai te iti, te rahi rānei... help me raise awareness (and pūtea) to say "It's OK, and someone is around to help you through it, there is always HOPE!"

Week 10... I thinkMonday 19th Jul Gosh it's been a little while, and although it seems like I have been doing everything BUT training, I have managed to get a few runs completed and some mileage in these legs. Planning a well deserved weekend away with some great mates was all part of my plan to look after my own wellbeing, can't wait just have to get over that finish line! The plan this week is to complete 3x runs, will update you on how that went next week ;-) Share
Week 2Thursday 10th Jun Second week in and things are going to plan at the moment. Been doing some gym classes and running on alternate days. I'm waiting on some orthotics to be made and hopefully that will make running more comfortable and keep me injury free. Now... my food choices haven't been the best, but I'm not stressing about it, but if anyone has some good tips or kōrero about what kai is good to help keep my sugar cravings at bay I'm here for that!
Week 1Thursday 3rd Jun Baby is 10 months, and number four so I am ready to get my body back. I have completed a 5.5km in Rotorua, my next run is 10kms in Taupō. I am not a quick runner nor is my form the best, but I'm doing it and this week I have managed a constant 6km run, and have 2x30 minute runs to complete before the week is up! Woohoo it's ON!
