Team Mental Health Foundation
I'm running to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation. I'm doing this for all of you who struggled with a mental health problem in your life, you don’t have to face it on your own. I herr to talk and I am committed. Everything can be overcome. As Tyson Fury said (google his story)... let's do it together as a team!
An example of my journey, in 2016 I ran 6.5k in 48 minutes at 98kgs. It was so difficult and rewarding to ran that time I stopped smoking for good (smoked for 10 years) and made some changes in my life for the better. And it made me eager to be better every day.
Last year (2019) I returned and ran 10k in just over 65 minutes at 92kgs. I earnt a lot of confidence and respect for myself and others around me in improving so much since the first time.
My goal this year is to raise $300 to help the mental health foundation. in return for your support, I will run the 10ks again but this time I have been training and I am hoping I can run them in less than 60 minutes.
Your donation will help the Mental Health Foundation to provide people with free information, resources and campaigns covering the A-Z of mental health and wellbeing topics. It will also help them advocate for helpful and hopeful policies and services for people living with mental illness.
